Integrated Development Environment

As the primary tool used to develop and test your SCADA system, the Integrated Development Environment (IDE) is one of the more powerful features of ClearSCADA ViewX. The IDE allows engineers to work on the system live with no compilation of code or the need to shutdown the server following an addition or change. Any work done within the ViewX client is immediately integrated into your system and becomes live. In addition, multiple clients can be simultaneously connected to a ClearSCADA server, each giving their end user the ability to perform individual tasks and objectives. This real time capability allows teams of engineers to work in a fully collaborative environment, developing the SCADA system database without the need to merge the work of individual contributors.

From a more detailed perspective the IDE provides all the necessary tools for efficient configuration of database objects. These include: edit toolbar, alignment toolbar, operating toolbar, Navigate and debug toolbars as well as cut/copy and paste, drag and drop and context sensitive object menus. Localized object-based context sensitive menus allow the engineers fast access to all functions that can be performed on or with a database object. System commands are also part of the object menu and are available at any point in the database allowing for easy access during the creation of new objects and instances of template objects.
